Cabiri Performance Troupe on Daedalus
On Sunday, June 20th the Cabiri Performance Troupe brings Daedalus to the Fremont Fair.
Located next to the Waterfront Stage on the west end of the Fair, Daedalus is a fully freestanding aluminum aerial dance stage that stands 26” tall and 30” wide.
Five performances will feature principal dancers from The Cabiri performance troupe. Each set will be 20-30 minutes in duration, and will feature approximately six artists performing dance on the ground, audience character interaction, and aerial dance on Daedalus.
Named after the Greek architect and builder of the labyrinth and wings of Icarus, Daedalus is a magnificent performance you will not want to miss. The Cabiri Performance Troupe bring mythology and folklore to life via “performative mythology,” which combines aerial and modern dance with storytelling to create a visually spectacular, enchanting experience for audiences of all ages.
The Cabiri performance troupe teaches aerial dance for teens and adults and will be offering free samples of their trapeze classes at the Fair on Sunday. Teens and adults are invited to stop by Daedalus and sign up for your free trapeze lesson with their expert instructors throughout the day. The Cabiri look forward to flying with you!
The Cabiri are theatrical emissaries for The Anunnaki Project, a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating that seeks to educate the public about the mythologies of cultures that have passed into extinction. For more information visit www.anunnaki.org.

They bring communities together to create spontaneous and collaborative paintings all in one day, in one place, in the service of charity. The Artist Throwdown and Auction will take place on N 35th Street. For more information on Blank Canvas and Artist Throwdowns visit www.blankcanvas.org
EcoZone
The Fremont Fair has always been centered on its local roots; featuring original artisans, cool entertainment, and an ecologically sound celebration of community.
As part of the mission of the Fremont Fair, the EcoZone was established in order to highlight businesses that focus on bringing communities together with their eco-friendly products and services. The EcoZone will be an informative destination to learn about living a more sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle.
In addition to our EcoZone, the Fremont Fair is making a conscious effort to minimize the environmental impact of the event by utilizing a solar powered generator provided by Hollywood Lights, composting stations in the food court, compostable glasses in the beer garden, and recycling stations located throughout the event. Please be courteous of our recycling station and do not contaminate recycling efforts by throwing garbage or food waste in the recycling bins.
Nuun Hydration Stations
The Fremont Fair is proud to welcome back Nuun-a Seattle based company who manufactures and distributes electrolyte-infusing tablets that increase hydration without adding sugar or carbs-who will be sponsoring the fair’s three hydration stations, (locations listed on site map). These stations are intended to keep attendees cool in the summer sunshine while reducing waste by encouraging guests to bring their own vessels to refill and hydrate. So make sure to bring along your water bottles to the Fremont Fair so you are able to take advantage of Nuun’s Hydration stations.
